Welcome to Blackdown Chiropractors

Blackdown Chiropractors is based in Hemyock, near Taunton/Wellington, and Ilminster near Chard. Sue Moore BSc(Hons)Chiro, RGN, established the clinics after working as a chiropractor in the area for the past 8 years. The clinics aim to make chiropractic accessibility to people and their pets living in the villages and towns around these areas. Sue is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and the British Chiropractic ssociation (BCA). Sue also works at Sidmouth Chiropractic Centre.

Chiropractic is a safe and drug free way to prevent and treat many aches and pains. At the clinic we not only provide treatment for neck and back pain but also conditions such as pain and stiffness from hips, shoulders, knees, ankles, sciatica pain and trapped nerves, frozen shoulder, tennis and golfers elbow, plantar fascitis amongst others. The care we give is aimed to ensuring you, your family or pet maintain as mobile and healthy as possible. Our clinics are small to enable individualised care which is combined with exercise and lifestyle advice to enable you to return to work or carry on with your daily activities as soon as possible.

Sue worked as a nurse for 10 years specialising in intensive care before qualifying as a chiropractor in 2000 at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, gaining a first class honours following the 4 year degree course. She then completed the animal chiropractic course with the International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic (only open to vets and chiropractors) and treats animals as well as people.

Sue is always happy to discuss any problems if you are unsure if chiropractic will help and will give talks on either person or animal chiropractic.
